Dr. Peter Senge plans to engage Summit attendees in a dialogue during his plenary presentation at the Summit dinner Wed Evening. Dr. Senge asks Summit attendees to share success stories of collaboration across sectors and discuss what made them successful; how can they be replicated; why isn’t collaboration easier? More than a formal presentation, Dr. Senge is interested in intellectual discourse with the attendees. This plenary will be unlike any the Summit has had in the past.

Ms. Gorsen will be talking to the Summit attendees about opportunities for the future and will use Green Chemistry as a focused example. There are six major components to Green Chemistry, and most of them are not regulated, meaning they are voluntary and many businesses are finding their value without governmental influence. The economic opportunities associated with Green Chemistry are vast because it touches chemicals, materials and products. Green Chemistry is absolutely a health issue as well.

There are some essential and informative training workshops being held before and after the Summit; wonderful site visits that have been specially planned for Summit attendees; a fun reception at an environmentally conscious local restaurant; a fun walk that will give you an opportunity to help a local charity clean up San Francisco Bay while getting some fresh air and exercise; and two separate volunteer opportunities to help restore native plants. Check your registration records to make sure you have added everything you want- changes can easily be made online!

On Tuesday, May 5, the National Environmental Partnership Summit will open its doors free of charge to students to increase awareness and motivate action against our current environmental challenges! Come to collaborate, network and learn from our experienced and inspirational career panel.
The Student Day career panel, poster session and happy hour are specifically targeted to students.
Registration for Student Day is free for full time students only. A school-issued ID is required. Deadline to register is Monday, April 27. Student check-in begins on Tuesday, May 5 at 8:00 am and is available all day. For questions about Student Day, please contact Oded Cedar at oded.cedar@gmail.com.

Register now and join us for the 2009 Environmental Summit in San Fancisco. Full week registration will increase by $100 after early registration closes. Poster Session- Highlighting Achievements and Collaborations Posted on Friday, March 20, 2009 National Environmental Partnership Summit
Take this opportunity to show how your facility is collaborating with others by participating in the Summit's Fourth Annual Poster Session Showcase. Organizations are invited to submit a proposal by March 27, 2009 describing a specific collaboration or an environmental achievement that they would like to highlight through a poster board and handout. This is a great, low-cost and simple way to highlight your collaborations and success in your environmental programs.
Posters will be available Tuesday through Thursday but will only be staffed during the breaks on Tuesday (10:00-10:30am and 3:30-4:00pm).

Showcase of Collaboration Posted on Friday, March 13, 2009 National Environmental Partnership Summit
New to the Summit this year! We will feature a montage of pictures submitted by Summit participants which highlight examples of collaborations between NGOs, government, and PT members. We plan to have the slide show running throughout the conference. If you would like to be included in this showcase, please send pictures with a brief caption for each to Anne Vogel-Marr (steplightly@verizon.net). Pictures must be submitted by March 25, 2009 to be considered for the showcase. Don't miss this chance to show off!

Make sure you submit your request to NPPR for travel assistance by March 6th to be considered. Priority will be given to participants who are presenting (speaking) at the Summit, and those from state, local or tribal P2 programs. The final decision on travel awards will be made by March 16, 2009.
